Exporting All of the MDS Data for OIM 11g and 12c (Doc ID 1223763.1)

Purpose

Some configurations for Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) are stored in an MDS repository rather than on a file system on the OIM Server. Troubleshooting configuration issue can sometimes require exporting MDS data in order to examine it and potentially make corrections. This article will give the procedure that can be used to export all of the OIM meta-data contained in the MDS repository.


Some of the data files below can be obtained via the Deployment Manager (DM), but not everything is available via the DM and MDS has version control while currently the DM tool does not.


Exporting and importing just specific files from MDS is documented in section 30 MDS Utilities and User Modifiable Metadata Files of the Developer's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager.

Note that this procedure assumes that the Admin Server and OIM Managed Server are both up and the deployments are active and healthy. If the OIM Managed server is not up, direct exports from the DB are also possible. Please refer to the following Doc for those steps:
