OSB Application Adapter is Not Able to Send Special Characters to SAP (Doc ID 1224234.1)

Symptoms

OSB Application adapter is not able to send special characters to SAP System. Special characters are converted into UTF-8 Format while sending. Setting Request and Response encoding to iso-8859-1 is not helping.
