"Unable To Get Local Issuer Certificate" Error While Configuring OVD 11g for SSL (Doc ID 1232867.1)

Symptoms

While connecting to OVD from OAM Server over SSL port, getting error "Unable to get local issuer certificate".

Checking the certificate via openssl utility also gives same error:

[openssl]$ openssl s_client -showcerts -connect <HOSTNAME:SSL_PORT>
CONNECTED(00000003)
depth=0 /C=<COUNTRY>/ST=<STATE>/L=<LOCATION>/O=<ORG>/OU=<OU>/CN=*.<DOMAIN>/emailAddress=\#<EMAIL>
verify error:num=20:unable to get local issuer certificate
