How to Determine the Process ID of a GlassFish Message Queue Instance (Doc ID 1240874.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 01, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle GlassFish Server - Version 2.1 to 3.1.2 [Release 2.1 to 3.1]
Sun GlassFish Message Queue - Version 3.7 to 4.4u2 [Release 3.7 to 4.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

If there are many GlassFish Message Queue (MQ) brokers running on the same machine, finding the MQ process can prove difficult.  This article will detail how to determine the process ID of a particular MQ broker instance.

If the GlassFish Message Queue broker is running EMBEDDED in the GlassFish Server, then the MQ broker is part of the GlassFish Server process.  In that case, <Note: 1233205.1> "How to Determine the Process ID of an Application Server Instance"  should be used instead.
