Error installing WebCenter with UCM: INST-07110: Unable to connect to the Database with the given credentials (Doc ID 1261606.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to install WebCenter Spaces with UCM,
the following error occurs.

INST-07110: Unable to connect to the Database with the given credentials.
Invalid service id


Check the values. Make sure the Database is up and running and connect string, user name and password are correct. Enter a valid user name with DBA privileges



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Install WebCenter.

  2. In the "Specify UCM Configuration Options" window:

    • Select "Install and Configure Oracle Universal Content Management".
    • Provide the Content Server information.
    • Click Next.

  3. In the "Specify UCM Database Details" window:

    • Enter the connect information to the Database where you created the OCSERVER schema:
      Connect String
      Schema User Name
      Schema Password.

    • Click Next.
      Here you should see the error.
