Last updated on NOVEMBER 04, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Middleware High Availability - Version: 11.1.1.3.0 and later   [Release: Oracle11g and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Application Server Cluster Ready Services (ASCRS) provides a set of predefined scripts and monitors, which allows you to use the functionality of Oracle's clusterware, Cluster Ready Services (CRS) in a Fusion Middleware 11g environment.

The first requirement is to create ASCRS resources for the shared disk and virtual host associated with this hardware cluster. Once these have been successfully created, a resource can be created for a Weblogic Server (WLS) domain using the following command:

./ascrsctl create -n <name_of_resource> -t as -disk sharedisk -vip myvip -ch /user_projects/domains/mydomain

For more details refer to:

11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
Part Number E10106-15
13.4.1.5.2 Creating a Resource for WebLogic Servers

When executing the command the resource fails to be created successfully and the following error stack is seen:

./ascrsctl create -n <name_of_resource> -t as -disk sharedisk -vip myvip -ch /user_projects/domains/mydomain
