Symptoms


The Global Search in WebCenter Spaces returns Pages and Group Spaces where the user has Group Space Access Revoked.

Navigating to a Page or Group Space link from the search results will open the corresponding Group Space or Page with the following error:

You do not have access



Attempting to close the Group Space or Page will show show the following errors:

WCS#2010.09.22.04.27.09: Unexpected error occurred
WCS#2010.09.22.04.27.10: Unexpected error occurred
...




STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a Group Space with services enabled.
    e.g. Base the Group Space in the Community of Interest Template.

  2. Go to the Settings Tab -> Members Sub Tab.

  3. Give View grants in the group space to a user.
    e.g. testuser1

  4. Go to the Settings Tab -> Roles Sub Tab.

  5. Revoke Group Space Access:
    - Group Space Access
      Viewer Role - Uncheck View Permissions

  6. Confirm the the Viewer Role has the following permissions:
    - Group Space Access
       No permissions for Viewer Role

    - Group Space Services
       View - checked

    - Discussions
       View - checked

  7. Create a Page in the Group Space.

  8. Connect to WebCenter Spaces as user testuser1.

  9. Do a search using the Group Space name or Page Name.
    This should return the group Space or Page in the search results.

  10. Click in the Group Space or Page link from the search results.
    Here you should get the errors.
