Symptoms
An Oracle Data Integration (ODI) Agent running on IBM AIX 64-bit operating system is successfully receiving and executing Scenarios for several hours.
Then quite suddenly the Agent appears to hang and no longer acts as a running Java process.
More precisely, the Java process attached to the Agent is still present but is not longer acquiring CPU time, and no longer responds :
- running Sessions do not terminate
- the Agent no longer starts up any new Session and non are set either the Queued or Waiting status.
- a test of the Agent from the ODI Topology Manager hangs.
- The agentstop.sh command also hangs and does not complete.
No warnings or error messages are intercepted in either the standard and/or error outputs, or in the trace files.
