Symptoms

In setting up OID as an LDAP Policy Store outlined in the following document:

Oracle Fusion Middleware Enterprise Deployment Guide for Oracle WebCenter
11g Release 1 (11.1.1).

Oracle Fusion Middleware Enterprise Deployment Guide for Oracle SOA Suite
11g Release 1 (11.1.1)

For Web Center:  ldapmodify command fails to index a custom attribute, per instructions at :

10.1.3.2 Cataloging Oracle Internet Directory Attributes


For SOA:  ldapmodify command fails to index a custom attribute, per instructions at :

11.1.2.2.1 Provisioning Admin Users and Groups in an LDAP Directory

Error produced when running this procedure:

ldap_modify: No such attribute

Note: This same issue exists when integrating WebCenter or SOA with Oracle Internet Directory
