Sorting Is Lost When Navigating To The Next Pages Of The Search Results (Doc ID 1281344.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Universal Content Management - Version: 10.1.3.5.0 and later   [Release: 10gR3 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using Content Server 10.1.3.5.1 (100623)

When query results are displayed, the selected sorting is applied only on the first page of the results. After changing page to the second or any following page of the search results page, the parameter SortOrder and SortField are empty, and sorting is lost.

For example, the first page of the search results is displayed with the URL

http://ucmserver.domain/idc/idcplg?IdcService=GET_SEARCH_RESULTS&...&SortField=xSignDate&SortOrder=Asc&...

When browsing to the next page, the URL is changed to :

http://ucmserver.domain/idc/idcplg?IdcService=GET_SEARCH_RESULTS&...&SortField=&SortOrder=&...&PageNumber=2&StartRow=21&EndRow=24

(Notice that SortField and SortOrder are not set anymore in the URL)

The issue only started to occur after installing <Patch:6907073> "Content Server 10.1.3.x.x Update Bundle Component (CS10gR35UpdateBundle) - 2010_06_23 (build 74)"
