Accessing files larger than 255 bytes from DBFS using HTTP fails and FireFox and Internet Explorer display a blank white page while Google Chrome shows the following error:

This web page is not available.
Error 100 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED): Unknown error.

Oracle HTTP Server 11.1.1.x is installed and configured to access files from Oracle DBFS that is created on Oracle Database 11.2.0.x. DBFS is mounted on /mnt/dbfs/ with direct_io option

An alias was created in $INSTANCE_HOME/config/OHS/ohs1/httpd.conf to access the files on the DBFS mount point as following:

Alias /dbfs/ "/mnt/dbfs/"
    <Directory /mnt/dbfs/>
    Options Indexes MultiViews FollowSymLinks
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all

File less than or equal 255 bytes are accessible with no problem.
If the DBFS is mounted without direct_io option, all files are successfully accessible.
