Goal

With the introduction of 11g R2 Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), clusters can be created using SCAN (Single Client Access Name) as described in this SCAN Technical brief.

In this how-to document, a SCAN JDBC URL is used to verify the load balance of connections to the RAC nodes using a SCAN address.
