Internal Error On Page After Using Expression Language

Symptoms
After entering some Expression Language (EL) in a page somewhere, then the following error is displayed and the page is no longer accessible.
Internal Error
If the error persists, report the problem to your administrator.

Every attempt to go to the page is showing the same error.
Steps to reproduce:
- Add a spaces browser component to the page.
- Specify the following (wrong) advanced query:
spaceContext.spacesQuery.unionOf.ALL_QUERIABLE.search[\'portal\'
Notice the correct one, should be: spaceContext.spacesQuery.unionOf.ALL_QUERIABLE.search[\'portal\'] - An internal error is displayed which is unrecoverable and cannot edit the page again and correct the error.
