When Dragging the Same ODI Datastore a Second Time into the Same Integration Interface 'java.lang.NullPointerException' Is Raised (Doc ID 1295182.1)

Symptoms

When dragging a same source a second time into an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Integration interface the following message is raised:

java.lang.NullPointerException

This message is signaled after:

  1. Having reverse engineered a Model in ODI Designer.
  2. Having created a new Integration Interface, drag and drop the EMP Datastore into the Interface.
  3. Now attempt to drag and drop the same EMP Datastore into the same Interface a second time. You will then see the above exception reported.
