Memory leaks for XML Objects with ADF Based Portlets on WebCenter Page
(Doc ID 1296829.1)
Last updated on JUNE 20, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.3.0 to 11.1.1.4.0 [Release 11g]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Load testing is being performed on a WebCenter site with custom ADF portlets.
The test is based on activities done by one user.
Actions performed during this load testing are as follows:
- request dashboard page wich contains about 10 adf based portlets (note : each portlet has its own portlet producer)
- repeately maximizing and minimizing portlets in the dashboard
There are memory problems after around 3 hours of testing like this.
The memory contains a lot of XML objects at this point. e.g.
oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLtext
oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLattr
oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement
Memory does not seem to be getting freed (even after a long wait).
Many of the objects contain references to connections.xml.
