After Users Logged In, Error "Invalid Portal Session" When Clicking Any Tab Or Link. (Doc ID 1298564.1)

Symptoms

Portal users are receiving "Invalid Portal Session" errors.

In the Portal's <MIDTIER_HOME>/j2ee/OC4J_Portal/application-deployments/portal/OC4J_Portal_default_island_1/application.log file the following errors can be seen: 

11/02/01 14:43:44 portal: [module=PortalServlet, ecid=<ECID>] Repository Gateway: LWUser: null, Cookie: <COOKIE_ID>
11/02/01 14:43:44 portal: [module=PortalServlet, ecid=<ECID>] ERROR: Repository Gateway error: Database Error: ORA=20005 ORA-20005: The session context could not be restored because the session is marked as inactive.
ORA-06512: at line 13
11/02/01 14:43:44 portal: [module=PortalServlet, ecid=<ECID>] ERROR: oracle.webdb.repository.service.RepositoryServiceException: Portal session creation failed.
