Installing AXF on App Server 10g Throws: createJDBCConnectionPool failed in Step axf-createDS (Doc ID 1300748.1)

Symptoms

When installing the Managed Attachments solution for integrating UCM with EBS, during the AXF installation process on the 10g application server, the following error occurs:

axf-createDS:
[oracle:createJDBCConnectionPool] createJDBCConnectionPool AxfPool.
[oracle:createJDBCConnectionPool] Error: createJDBCConnectionPool failed.

/opt/UCM_adapter/AXF_2309/install/install.xml:27: The following error occurred while executing this line:
