Symptoms

When loading data from a JMS XML queue that contains XML messages, the ODI Interface fails with the the following message at Load JMS to XML task:

In ODI 10g::

0:null:java.sql.SQLException: class.org.xml.sax.SAXParseException An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x19) was found in the element content of the document


In ODI 11g::

0:null:java.sql.SQLException: oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException Invalid char in text


The same message is observed when testing connection to an XML file containing such characters from Topology Manager > XML DataServer.
