Internet Explorer 8 Breaks WebCenter Interaction Migration-Export of Publisher Objects (Doc ID 1302898.1)

Symptoms

When you create a Publisher package for export using the WebCenter Interaction "Migration - Export" admin utility while using Internet Explorer 8, the portal creates 2 unnamed folders and does not create the zip file for a Publisher export in [alui_home]\ptcs\6.5\settings\migration.

1. Use the Internet Explorer 8 browser to navigate into the Portal Administration's Select Utility drop down menu and select "Migration - Export", navigate into the "Publisher Resources" section, select the "Add Folders" button and, in the "Select Folders" tree-picker window, select a Publisher folder to be exported.



2. Click the "OK" button to save the selection. Observe 3 folders listed in the Migration - Export utility page: the folder that was selected and 2 additional unnamed folders.



3. Click the "Finish" button to create the export package. Once the portal completes processing the package creation, as shown in the pop-up window, observe the message that the migration status is successful and that there is a working link for the pte package but there is no mention of the zip file.
 


4. Observe that the system does not create a zip file on the Publisher Server:



The expected behavior is that only the Publisher folder selected for export will appear in the "Publisher Resources" section of the "Migration - Export" admin utility.
