SOA 10g: Worklist Users See Slow Performance when Sorting/Querying Against the Task List Area (Doc ID 1313883.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 08, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle(R) BPEL Process Manager 10g - Version 10.1.3.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

You have an installation of Oracle Application Server 10g or Fusion Middleware 11g where composite applications are utilizing Human Workflow Components during their execution and an end user community accesses and interacts with assigned Human Workflow Tasks using the web based Worklist Application.

At run-time users of the Worklist Application are intermittently seeing slower than expected performance when using the task area of the graphical user interface to sort, filter and query against the list of tasks to be displayed.

Changes

The number of records in the WFTASK table may have recently increased to a size beyond the level that database statistics are calculated from all rows in the table and statistics may now be gathered from a smaller proportion of rows using a sampling based approach.
