How to Migrate from v6.2, 7.5.1, 10g Content Server or older 11g WCC to an 11g or 12c WCC Server (Doc ID 1316155.1)

Last updated on MARCH 05, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This How To note will cover the steps required to migrate a 6.2 or higher Content Server to an 11g or 12c WebCenter Content server (formerly UCM, Universal Content Management).

This applies to migrating the configuration and the content from an already installed Content Server to a newly installed 11g WCC.

This guide is not on how to upgrade a 10g CS to an 11g WCC. An upgrade is to take a 10g Content Server instance and make it into an 11g WCC instance. This guide is how to migrate the configuration, metadata, and content from one Content Server instance to another, different 11g instance.

To perform an upgrade from 10g, follow the steps in the Oracle® Fusion Middleware Upgrade Guide for Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
