Last updated on SEPTEMBER 21, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 10.1.3.5.0 to 11.1.1.9.99 [Release 10gR3 to 11gR1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to reverse engineer an Oracle data Integrator (ODI) Model from an XML file with element such as:

The first case creates a sub-Datastore which is not what is to be expected, while the second is processed as a standard XML Element.

We should expect the same to be found in both cases.

This is confirmed by:

  1. Comparing the DTDs generated from the XML instance file
  2. Comparing the reverse engineered tables from Models
