WCI IDK IContentItemManager CheckInItem Throws System.ArgumentException After Modifying Property From Text To LongText (Doc ID 1319864.1)

Symptoms

I used Publisher Explorer to modify one of the properties on the Data Entry Template from 'Text' to 'longText'.  However, I get an ArgumentException thrown when trying to check-in  a content item using the IDK function IContentItemManager.CheckInItem. The error is:

System.ArgumentException: Property Other Keyword has type type.text.short which does not match type type.text.long.


In the WCI portal PTSpy, the error is the following:
