Goal

To illustrate the required steps to deploy a custom J2EE application that is able to interact with the Credential Store Framework to retrieve user credentials. As this operation requires both configuration and implementation actions, it will try to clarify both aspects.

The Credential Store Framework is available only in Oracle Fusion Middleware JRF enabled installations, and not for plain WebLogic Server (WLS) users.

As the whole process is a potentially error prone process, this note describes some of the useful validations that you can do during the configuration, trying to help avoiding some potential errors.
