To illustrate the required steps to deploy a custom J2EE application that is able to interact with the Credential Store Framework to retrieve user credentials. As this operation requires both configuration and implementation actions, it will try to clarify both aspects.
The Credential Store Framework is available only in Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g JRF enabled installations and hence the information in this article is considered useful ONLY for OFMW 11g users, and not for plain WebLogic Server (WLS) users.
As the whole process is a potentially error prone process, this note describes some of the useful validations that you can do during the configuration, to try to help avoid some of the potential errors.
