SSL Handshake Error "ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed"

The following error generated when the SSL certificate is not used in a proper way:
oracle.fabric.common.FabricException: javax.wsdl.WSDLException: WSDLException: faultCode=INVALID_WSDL: Error reading import of oramds:/deployed-composites/default/InvoiceSynchronization_rev1.0/UpdateDocument.wsdl: oracle.j2ee.ws.wsdl.LocalizedWSDLException: WSDLException: faultCode=PARSER_ERROR: Failed to read wsdl file at: "https://imaging-dev.ascensionhealth.org/imaging/ws/DocumentService?wsdl", caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException. : javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target: WSDLException: faultCode=INVALID_WSDL: Error reading import of oramds:/deployed-composites/default/InvoiceSynchronization_rev1.0/UpdateDocument.wsdl:
The above error for example generating with the following environment topology, however it could be happen with any other topology/environment which using SSL:
FMW 11.1.1.x SOA and two nodes in cluster with SSL enabled
The request life cycle as following : HTTPS --> BigIP Load Balancer --> Oracle HTTP Server --> SOA Server/IPM Server
