UCM 11g with Oracle Text Search Failing to Return Results for Newly Added Metadata Field (Doc ID 1332348.1)

Symptoms

In either the Search 'Expanded Form' or the 'Query Builder Form' click on Update Sort Fields at the bottom of the page and add a metadata field called 'Filing Date' to the Search Fields.
Run the search, an error message will appear:

Content Server Request Failed - Unable to retrieve search results Error occurred while retrying the search query. Error occurred while processing. Unable to return results


1. Go to Administration > System Audit Information
2. In the Trace Sections information add 'systemdatabase'
3. Reproduce the error by running the query
4. Go back to the system Audit information and click on 'View Server Output'
5. This error is displayed:
