WCI Publisher Explorer Error: "Unable to complete operation" (Doc ID 1347367.1)

Symptoms

The "Unable to complete operation" error can occur two different ways:

1. The error pops up after using the Publisher Explorer search function within a folder that has more than 300 sub-folders or when trying to navigate to the folder. Publisher Explorer fails to search or browse to subfolders in a long directory structure.

2.  The error pops up as "Unable to copy: Unable to complete operation" when trying to create a copy of a content item shown in Publisher Explorer search results.
