MQ Series Adapter / Database Adapter Throwing Error: "Jndi Name is null or empty" (Doc ID 1347509.1)

Symptoms

The following error is thrown when trying to start the MQ Adapter.
This was also discovered while configuring a Database DB Adapter (the solution is the same):

weblogic.application.ModuleException: weblogic.connector.exception.RAException: Jndi Name is null or empty

Changes

In the case of the DB Adaper, The initial testing of the jdbc - database connection was successful, but after created a Connection factory in console with JNDI and also the Plan.xml, the error was thrown while trying to activate the changes (clicking "Activate Changes" button):


An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
weblogic.connector.exception.RAException: Jndi Name is null or empty.
