Deploying a WebCenter Portal Application from WebLogic Admin Console Fails with Error "oracle.mds.config.MDSConfigurationException" (Doc ID 1350255.1)

Symptoms

Deploying a WebCenter Portal Application (ear) to server using the WebLogic Admin Console fails and the following error is reported:

"oracle.mds.config.MDSConfigurationException:MDS-01335: namespace "/oracle/webcenter/quicklinks/scopedMD" mapped to metadata-store-usage "WebCenterFileMetadataStore" but its definition was not found in MDS configuration."  

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a WebCenter Portal Application in JDeveloper.
  2. Add the deployment profile.
  3. Deploy the application to an ear file.
  4. Login to WebLogic Admin Console.
  5. In the Deployments screen, click "Install" to install the application.
  6. After clicking "finish", the browser displays the error mentioned above.
