WebCenter Interaction Publisher: Changing Alignment Property of Content Item Image Throws JS Error (Doc ID 1351067.1)

Symptoms

In Publisher 6.5 Rich Text Editor (RTE) for WebCenter Interaction, when changing the alignment of an image, a javascript error is thrown: "Could not get the align property. Invalid argument."

You can reproduce this behavior by following these steps:

  1. In Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0, or 8.0, navigate to the Publisher Explorer.
  2. Edit a content item to open up the item's Rich Text Editor window.
  3. Click the "Insert Image" button to bring up the "Image Editor" window.
  4. Select a pre-existing image on the server.
  5. Click the "OK" button.
  6. Click on the image itself to select it.
  7. Click the "Insert Image" button to bring up the "Image Editor" window again.
  8. Select another value from the "Align" drop down menu.
  9. Press the "OK" button to close out the "Image Editor" window.
  10. Observe the js error in the browser window: Could not get the align property. Invalid argument.
