Portal in SSL is Making HTTP Calls
(Doc ID 1360256.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 26, 2023
Applies to:
Portal - Version 11.1.1.4.0 to 11.1.1.7.0 [Release FMW11g]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
After Configure Portal 11.1.1.4 in SSL, Internet Explorer (IE) shows the following message when accessing Portal Home Page:
Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?
This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS connection, which could compromise the security of the entire webpage.
If 'Yes' is clicked, the Portal page will not show images.
If 'No' is clicked, the source of the Portal page will show HTTP calls instead of HTTPS calls. For example:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>/portal/pls/portal/<PRE>_PORTAL.wwsbr_javascript.page_js?p_language=us&p_version=<P_VERSION_ID>>
...LeftSubTabid4siteid0{Background-Attachment:scroll;Background-Position:left top;Background-Repeat:no-repeat;Background-Image:url(http://<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>/images/FFFFFFsl.gif);Background-Color:#336699;}
These calls should be HTTPS and not HTTP.
