Goal

This document provides some details on the usage of the Java Tool oracle.wh.util.locationhelper.LocationTool available with OWB 11.2.0.3 and OWB 11.2.0.4.

This is only used with Oracle DataGuard, not other fail-over products or clusters.


The oracle.wh.util.locationhelper.LocationTool Java tool is provided to assist the  failover process in interactive way or to generate template for failover. It is packaged in a jar file <owb_home>/owb/lib/int/util.jar and is a wrap to PL/SQL package owbsys.wb_location_helper but provides a more flexible and interactive way for failover related task.
