SSL Configured UCM server showing 403 Errors on Home page and Logout page

Symptoms
For UCM , SSO is enabled using Integrated windows authentication through Kerberos. A Weblogic Plugin for IIS server was used to configure the SSO on the IIS server. UCM is configured to be using SSL security but in this set up following scenario is encountered :
When an Active directory user logs into the UCM server through SSO following 2 scenarios are seen :
1. the home page throws the error
2. When a user clicks "Logout", it fails with the same error and URL automatically changes to "http" from "https" - This happens irrespective of the Layout set .
403 "The page must be viewed over a secure channel".
This error is encountered only on the home page after login and when the Content Server Layout is set to "Trays".
