How To Switch From OID 10g ASR Based Replication To LDAP Based Replication While Also Upgrading To OID 11g? (Doc ID 1368547.1)

Goal

Scenario:
Upgrading from Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 10g 10.1.4.3 to OID 11g while also upgrading and switching to Standard Edition (SE) Database (DB) for OID.

Currently using OID 10g with Advanced Symmetric Replication (ASR) based OID replication with Enterprise Edition (EE) DB.

However ASR based replication is not supported in 11g DB SE as per following documentation, so will be also switching to LDAP based OID replication:

How to switch from OID10g ASR based replication to LDAP based replication while also upgrading to OID 11g?

 

NOTE:  If you need to use SSO 10g (10.1.4.3) with your upgraded OID 11g, and you need to replicate the SSO objects as well, then you Must use ASR based replication and this Article would not be applicable.  Reference documentation:
