Last updated on OCTOBER 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why has a zip file, as resource of a war file, been corrupted?
A zip file could be corrupted if a previous version of the same file still exists in the cache.

The following symptom can be seen while trying to unzip this zip file:
-bash-3.00$ unzip -l myzip.zip.1
Archive: myzip.zip.1
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive.
In the latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of myzip.zip.1 or myzip.zip.1.zip, and cannot find myzip.zip.1.ZIP, period.
