Oracle iPlanet Web Proxy Server Deletes Slashes That Precede Javasript Comments (Doc ID 1369378.1)

Symptoms

When a web page, containing JavaScript, is served through Oracle iPlanet Web Proxy Server 4.0.17, if there are comments within the JavaScript code that are denoted with the "//" character combination, one of the "/" characters is removed by the web proxy server causing the entire web page to be improperly rendered.
