Symptoms
LDAP search operations against an Oracle Virtual Directory ( OVD ) database adapter fails with error :
LDAP Error 1 : com.octetstring.vde.util.Directory Exception: LDAP Error 19 : Constraint Violation
The problem could occur if the database does not use an UTF characterset and the LDAP search filter contains non-ascii character.
