Symptoms

Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer 11g configuration fails - " An error occurred while starting the domain." The following error stack is seen in the <central inventory>/logs/install<timestamp>.out file:

The AdminServer is in RUNNING status and the Admin Console can be reached fine from a browser. It can also be manually stopped and started up successfully using the<domain home>/startWebLogic.sh script.
