When Configured for SSL, the WebCenter Content URL is Redirected to Http (Doc ID 1382356.1)

Last updated on JUNE 05, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Note: WebCenter Content was formally labeled as UCM, Universal Content Management.

Weblogic and WebCenter Content are front ended with a web server. That web server (such as OHS) is configured for SSL (the SSL certificates are installed and enabled).

When trying to access the WebCenter Content server through SSL, the WebCenter Content portal page can be accessed as https. But when the Login button is clicked the URL changes to http.

Example:

The initial URL is entered as:

https://myohs.mycompany.com/cs/

After the Login button is clicked:

http://myohs.mycompany.com/cs/login/login.htm

In some situations an error may be generated.

As an example from the IE web F12 dev tools console:
