Symptoms

You are using the Portable Object Format (POF) in conjunction with the new REST API support that became available in 3.7.1.  While you can put a POF object in the cache and retrieve it, when you attempt to delete the object, your client application receives an HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.  You see the following exception logged by the cache server process which is running the HTTP Acceptor proxy service:
