Symptoms

When attempting to launch an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Scenario with the startscen script from another customized script (called for example myScript.bat) which is present in a folder outside of the ODI installation bin folder by invoking the startscen script using an absolute filepath such as the following (replace the placeholder values including their surrounding <> with the actual values for the environment prior to issuing the command):
