Symptoms
Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 10g with Directory Integration Platform (DIP).
Saving a profile's Connected Directory Matching Filter large value fails with:
dipassistant ERROR: [LDAP: error code 2 - Decoding Error]
Steps to reproduce, i.e. from dipassistant -gui (but the same error can occur from dipassistant mp command line also):
1. Edit the profile in dipassistant -gui
2. Select Filtering tab, and change the Connected Directory Matching Filter value to a larger value.
3. Click Save and it returns error:
dipassistant ERROR: [LDAP: error code 2 - Decoding Error]
