Cannot Remove Users From WebCenter Portal (Doc ID 1392359.1)

Symptoms

Note:  WebCenter Spaces has been renamed to WebCenter Portal.  In versions prior to 11.1.1.7, the term 'spaces' was used.  In 11.1.1.7 and beyond, 'spaces' will now be referred to as 'portals'.

 

Users in WebCenter Portal that no longer exist in Embedded LDAP (due to an old problem when users were lost at server restart) cannot be removed from WebCenter Portal.

Example of error reported:

Error:
"WCS#2011.10.03.11.14.30 : Unable to revoke role Moderator from identity <USERNAME>"
