Symptoms

When testing the connection to a Complex File Technology Data Server setup using the external database feature due to a large file size of over 500MB from either:

the following exception is thrown:

java.sql.SQLException: A login timeout occured while connecting to the database
  at oracle.odi.jdbc.datasource.LoginTimeoutDatasourceAdapter.doGetConnection(LoginTimeoutDatasourceAdapter.java:133)
  ...
