ODSEE 'sync-product-cds -r <dsPath>'' Fails to Synchronize the Data in the Configuration Directory Server (CDS). (Doc ID 1393123.1)

Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition - Version 5.2 SP6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Symptoms can be any to all of the following:

1. A Directory Server 5.2 Patch 6 (DS 5.2p6) instance displays as a DS 5.2p4 instance in the Admin Console.

2. The admin-serv error log will have warnings, such as:

[09/Jan/2012:11:03:24] warning (17088): for host ::ffff:3.3.173.75 trying to GET /<INSTANCE_PATH>/java/jars/ds524.jar, send-file reports: can't find /<INSTANCE_PATH>/java/jars/ds524.jar (File not found)


3. The Admin Console will display an error dialog box, titled: "Class Loader Error", with the following error message:

Failed to install a local copy of /<INSTANCE_PATH>/java/jars/ds534.jar or one of its supporting files:/<INSTANCE_PATH>/<INSTANCE_PATH>/java/jars/ds524.jar not found at http://FQDN.com:<PORT>

Changes

The sync-product-cds command was issued with fully qualified path names for the -j and -g options.

$ ./sync-product-cds -r "/<INSTANCE_PATH>" \
> -i "cn=Sun ONE Directory Server, cn=Server Group, cn=FQDN.com, \
> ou=DN.com, o=NetscapeRoot" \
> -j /<INSTANCE_PATH>/java/jars/ds524.jar \
> -g /<INSTANCE_PATH>/java/jars/ds524.jar \
> -v 5.2_Patch_6 \
> -n "Sun Java(TM) System Directory Server" \
> -b "2007.093.0058"
