Oracle GlassFish Server Admin GUI Does Not Show The Correct Thread Pool ID For a Resource Adapter Config (Doc ID 1398951.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 29, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle GlassFish Server - Version 3.1 to 3.1.1 [Release 3.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When you create a resource adapter config and specify a thread pool via --threadpoolid option, the GUI does not show that pool ID when inspecting the resource adapter properties.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Create a thread a new thread pool (either via GUI or asadmin), "<thread-pool-name>"

2) Create the resource adapter config:

$ asadmin create-resource-adapter-config --threadpoolid <thread-pool-name> genericra

3) Go to the GUI: Resources > Resource Adapter Configs > genericra

The "Thread Pool ID" field will be blank, and it will not show "<thread-pool-name>" as it should. Moreover, "<thread-pool-name>" is not among the choices in the pull-down menu.

If you check the corresponding entry in domain.xml, it will nevertheless show the correct values:

<resource-adapter-config thread-pool-ids="<thread-pool-name>" resource-adapter-name="genericra"></resource-adapter-config>
