Getting "Error retrieving node(s)" Message in Content Presenter when Trying to Create a New Web Content (Doc ID 1407564.1)

Symptoms


The following error is raised in a Content Presenter added to a custom WebCenter Portal page when trying to create a new web content:

Error retrieving node(s).


The same is followed by the following exception in the diagnostic.log:

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Check in a new Region Definition to UCM.
2. Add a new Content Presenter to your WebCenter Page.
3. In edit mode click on Edit for the Content Presenter task flow to enter the wizard.
4. Click on Select Content.
5. Click on Create Web Content button.
6. Chose the region definition you created in step 1 from the Region Definition LOV and click on Next.
7. Check the New Contributor data file and click Next.
8. Specify a Content ID and a folder and click Next.
9. Click on Edit content item now radio button and then Finish.
10. Specify some values in the Site Studio Contributor fields and click Save and Close

At this stage you get the error.
