HP-UX Itanium (IA64) WCC init.d Daemon Starts but Java Stops, Leaving No Access to WCC (Doc ID 1410201.1)

Last updated on APRIL 10, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 10.0 and later
HP-UX Itanium

Symptoms

Even after symbolic linking the <wcc install root>/admin/etc/idcadmin_ctrl and <wcc install root>/etc/idcserver_ctrl into the HP-UX IA64 /sbin/init.d and /sbin/rc.x directories, shutting-down (with restart) the server, the starting WCC content and admin server daemons write to their respective <wcc install root>/admin/etc/pid and <wcc install root>/etc/pid files, but then the Java child processes are killed-off once the init.d scripts have completed.
