OUD 11g/12c - ODSEE to OUD Migration (II) - Simple OUD 11g Migration Example (<SUFFIX>) Using Replication Gateway and "ds2oud" (Doc ID 1410634.1)

Last updated on APRIL 19, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

The goal of this document is to demonstrate how to configure Replication Gateway (RGW) for migration from ODSEE to OUD.
The example below uses an OUD 11g instance.

It contains the following sections:

For an example using RGW 12c and OUD 12c instances -

OUD 12c - How to Install and Configure Standalone Replication Gateway (RGW) Instances With Standalone OUD Instances and ODSEE Instances (Doc ID 2342797.1)

Scope

Prerequisites

- OUD installed without any suffixes

-- OUD 12c Requires JDK 1.8 update 131+

Note: Additional security has been added to JDK versions where endpoint identification is now enabled on LDAPS connections.
After a JDK version has been upgraded (or if a specific JDK version is configured with OUD), there may be errors with any connections over LDAPS which includes running OUD commands (like dsconfig, status, ldap[search/modify/delete] using the secure port).
