Symptoms

Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g, e.g., 11.1.1.4 or later.

Validating OVD connection with commands:

ldapbind -h <OVD_HOSTNAME> -p <OVD_PORT> -D "cn=orcladmin" -q
ldapbind -h <OVD_HOSTNAME> -p <OVD_SSL_PORT> -D "cn=orcladmin" -q -U 1

The second command fails with:
